Award of Fellow in American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)

1.  Dr. G. D. Mogli,  Ph.D., FHRIM (UK), Associate Professor, King Faisal University, Saudi Arabia,   who served as a Senior Medical Records Consultant / Adviser  and WHO Visiting Consultant in the  Ministries of  Health India, Afghanistan, State of Kuwait,  Saudi Arabia, Sultanate of Oman, Bahrain, Qatar,  and UAE has received the distinction of Fellow in the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), which is the highest award and  he is the first Fellow to have this honor who lives outside of  US.

Widely traveled, participated and presented papers in the International and European conferences and published eight books ( seven more books are under publication ) and more than 132 papers. Conducted innumerable conferences and workshops, for the HIM management professionals.

I heard the great news from Ann Mahalik last evening.  I am very happy that the Committee has at last granted you the status of Fellow of AHIMA.  It is very well deserved and is a reflection of your accomplishments in health information management over the course of your career.  AHIMA is very honored to have you as a First Fellow and we are very proud that you are our first Fellow who lives outside the US.
